Karen "Kaz" Merfield – Employment Consultant

Here’s a snap shot about  Karen Merfield!  She specializes in the retail side of our business since she has spent years in the customer service, marketing and sales side of the business in the past.  She originally hails from the UK, ( brings a great sense of humor ~ which slides in nicely with the rest of the team).  This thespian staff member was offered a scholarship to perform on the stage – today, she certainly keeps the team at DWP Employment group fully entertained.

Her creative flair led her to spending years as a photographer – where laterally she ran her own Photography firm “Klickity Clic Photography ”. Karen is a natural when it comes to developing relationships and focusing on how progressive companies and career seekers want to develop.  She can clearly zoom in on getting the right contrast – which means the big picture is always admirable.

Candidates can be certain that Karen’s spotlight will provide exposure to capturing the right career match!

Lisa Lynch – Special Project Coordinator

Lisa is the logical special project coordinator that keeps our service in full swing. She is negotiator and researcher for all those special projects that require that custom touch......

Lisa comes to DWP EG from the role of “CEO” of her family household, along with being Vice Chair and Secretary for her sons’ Parent School Council. Prior to motherhood, Lisa was Executive Assistant to the VP of Construction & Store Planning at a large Home Improvement chain.

Lisa has several years of Office Administration experience, both temporary and permanent. She is also a qualified bartender, seamstress, landscape architect, and interior decorator. Her creative, nurturing, and organizational skills enable the team to prioritize accordingly and ensure we are focusing on finding the right jobs for the right people!

Maureen "Mo" Fenn  - Senior Employment Consultant

Maureen is our seasoned expert in the art of guiding people from all walks of life.  She shines when it comes to helping them to find their place in the world …… through counselling, motivating, and coaching.

Maureen had great success as a founder and co owner of a prominent Toronto based recruitment firm for many years.  Mo’s next career move –which spanned 16 years -  found her matching …….once again….. only this time in the role of the Executive director of the largest modeling and acting academy in North America.  Not one to give up on enhancing peoples lives,  she became the leader of a successful team of  relationship consultants – (who matched romance seekers and life partners) across the GTA.

Mo joined the team of career matchmakers at DWP in 08…. bringing with her a colourful persona, joie d’vivre, and contagious enthusiasm.

Aside from her obvious flair for style and fashion, Mo has enjoyed time as a baseball player, drag racing competitor, an active volunteer counsellor with the breast cancer society, and a motivational speaker to college students!

In addition to this busy schedule – Maureen is often found on the side lines!!! Still motivating, still coaching – supporting her young grandchildren’s hockey “careers'.

Joanne Hunter - Office Manager

Julia brings wellness and theatrics to our already colourful team. (so if you "break a leg" Julia will mend it!). Our team benefits from her residing between Victoria, BC and the Durham Region.  She is studying Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, just a little something to enhance her bachelor of arts from the University of BC!
